Two weeks without a new post begs the question. I am sorry to say that I need to take an open-ended hiatus from my blogs. My mother had a stroke on April 3rd, thus there has been no time to think about blogging. She is currently in a rehabilitation facility, but there are still many unknowns and many decisions to make.
I have LOVED blogging. I didn't know what to expect when I first started, but I have found that sharing my thoughts (both personal and professional) plus photos has actually brought me much happiness. So it is only because my time is needed elsewhere for the foreseeable future that I am putting all of my blogs "on hold".
Wherever you may be, enjoy the new life that comes with spring! I'll be back just as soon as I can be. :-)

I am so sorry to hear about your mother and I wish you all the strength and energy you need to get though this.
Sending positive thoughts your way.
Diana, please let me (and the lady food bloggers) know if we can do anything. My thoughts are with you!
I will miss your blog but you are doing what you need to do right now. In my prayers.

Diane, I pray that all will be well with you as you care for your mother. My thoughts are with you.
I enjoy your blog so much. I love the recipes. Your blog is a source of support and encouragement for those who read it. Thank you so much for taking the time to do it. I hope you will be back soon with some more tales of kale. Take good care of yourself while you are taking care of your mother.
You and your family are in my prayers too.
Many thanks for all your best wishes. My mother is currently undergoing rehab while we are sorting out goals and future living arrangements. Much is still uncertain as we find our way in this new phase of life. Thanks again for offering so much support. :-)

Good for you for taking the time to support your mother and yourself.

Diana,
I am so sorry to hear this news. I am thinking of you during your difficult time. May you find peace.

Hello Mrs. Dyer. I am a sophomore at Franklin High in Stockton, CA. I have read your story and am asking you for permission. I want to put your picture on a wall my National Honors Society is creating. This wall will have the picture of a cancer patient, cancer victim or cancer survivor the we will walk for in a Stockton event named Relay for Life. It is an American Cancer Society event that "those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated." I want to participate in this event full-heartedly and have you who have celebrated your life and have struggles so much to be the embodiment of what i think a cancer survivor is. I really do not need your permission, but a response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your determination to live and your faith in God, Rosa Muñoz.You can contact me at wendy_zeiter@yahoo.com
Prayers to your mother and you. Your blog has been encouraging and fun to read. I started gardening because of it.
