Garlic Goose

I'm changing the photo at the top of the blog today. It's time to get rid of the snow scene (finally!!) and replace it with something that is more spring-like. And what is more spring-like than love. :-)

We have a pair of geese hanging around. Their honking wakes us up in the morning (the flicker has stopping banging on the chimney) and recently we have seen one camped out in last year's garlic field. We have not gone close enough (no time!) to see if this goose is on a nest or if this goose is guarding a nest hidden close-by. Our new 'garlic goose'!

I'm heading back to the other house to continue sorting, sorting, sorting. A huge load of toys my boys were ready to share will be going to a thrift store tomorrow!

That is really cool. There a goose nesting for the second year in row in the little pond down the road from us.
